My Legends Car Racing Journey: Gear Up, Setup Challenges, and Learning from NASCAR Pros

Hey everyone, Chad here with Midlife Classic Cars! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ

In this video, we're diving into my journey of getting into racing with my Legends car. After purchasing the car, I ended up with almost everything except for a seat and safety equipment. I headed down to Carolina Racing Supply, where Tyler helped me gear up with the best equipment and gave invaluable advice on car setup. From trying different seats and suits to finding the perfect fit, it was an awesome experience.

Today, I'm installing my new Kirkey seat, which I customized for extra comfort due to my past rib injuries. I'll walk you through the process and some challenges I faced. Plus, weโ€™ll be talking about changing the rear end for the Cookout Series at the Sharp M Speedway and my journey to getting the perfect setup.

This week didn't go exactly as planned โ€“ I couldn't get on the track, but I learned a lot. I met Josh Williams from the NASCAR Xfinity Series, who shared insights and will help me set up my car. Unfortunately, my dog Lucas, my best friend, passed away this week. It's been tough, but racing is helping me cope.

Stay tuned for more updates, and hopefully, the next video will show me hitting the track! Don't forget to like, subscribe, and check out MidlifeClassicCars.com for all your book, shop manual, and restoration guide needs.
