The Nova started as a lowly entry sedan, that would be powered by a 4 or six-cylinder, but drag racers saw something in it that Chevrolet did not. With its lightweight, it was begging for a V-8. While it was tight fit a Chevrolet, small block fit perfectly. Soon the small entry sedan was taking down big blocks. In 1968 the Nova would grow into a full-blown muscle car with a big block 396. This guide covers all the 1961-1972 Chevy II Nova from the 4 cylinders in 1961 to the 396-ci big blocks. There are thousands of interchanges in this guide, from the engine to transmission to sheet metal and trim, even for the seats and wheel covers.
